Bitter Sweets & Broken Hearts – 2019 Beverly Art Walk Fundraiser

Bitter Sweets & Broken Hearts – 2019 Beverly Art Walk Fundraiser

On Friday, February 15th, the Beverly Area Arts Alliance is honored to host Bitter Sweets & Broken Hearts, an intimate performance by three incredibly talented Chicago musicians, Kelly Hogan, Scott Ligon, and Nora O’Connor in support of the 2019 Beverly Art Walk Music Fund. Tickets on sale now – space is limited.

Kelly, Scott, and Nora are three kindred musical spirits. They comprise three-fifths of Chicago’s celebrated vocal pop group, The Flat Five, and all three are in-demand touring and session musicians in high-profile bands (Neko Case, The Decemberists, NRBQ, Mavis Staples, Andrew Bird, Jakob Dylan, Alejandro Escovedo, and many more). They are incorrigible harmony junkies who’ve been singing together as a trio for almost twenty years now. Their longtime friendship, collective enthusiasm for music, and their vast and varied combined repertoire brings an infectious joy and an anything-can-happen spirit to their live shows.

The event, at The Alliance Headquarters, features an exhibition of work by Screwball Press, open bar hosted by Steering Cocktails, small bites, and a limited edition, numbered, Screwball Press print. Proceeds will support live music at the 6th Annual Beverly Art Walk on Saturday, September 21st.
